University of Illinois Community Credit Union (UICCU) Board of Directors has named Chris Harlan as President/CEO effective immediately. Harlan had been serving as interim CEO since August 2018.
“We are proud to have Chris as the new President & CEO,” said Sharon Allen, Board Chairperson. “He is motivated, focused, and dedicated to serving our members’ financial needs”.
With over 14 years in the financial industry, Harlan is an experienced, forward thinking executive. He joined the UICCU Leadership Team in 2009 and most recently served as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer. In his role, he oversaw all retail delivery channels and branches as well as managed UICCU’s strategic planning process. He has made significant contributions to the development of outstanding products, services, and member experience. Harlan has a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, and was recently named the 2018 Central Illinois Business Forty under 40 Man of the Year.

Harlan was born and raised in Champaign. He currently resides in Mahomet with his wife, Katie, and their three children; Zoe, Owen, and Mia.
