Wire Transfers

Wire transfers allow you to send money electronically to another financial institution. You can also have funds wired to your account from almost anywhere in the world. Fees may apply.

Domestic Wire Transfers

Outgoing Domestic Wire Transfers

To transfer funds from your account at UICCU to another financial institution, you can send a domestic wire transfer by coming in to see us in-person or through your online banking by sending us a secure message.

Information Needed for Outgoing Wire Transfer

  • The receiving bank’s name
  • The receiving bank’s address (no P.O. Box)
  • The receiving bank’s routing/ABA number
  • The recipient’s name
  • The recipient;s address (no P.O. Box)
  • The recipient’s account number

*Please note: Some banks use a separate routing/ABA number for their wire transfers so please provide us with the receiving bank’s wire transfer instructions to ensure your wire transfer is completed accurately and in a timely manner.

We will provide you with a wire transfer authorization form to sign.  The cut-off time for sending domestic wire transfers is 3pm CST.

Incoming Domestic Wire Transfer

To transfer funds from your account at another institution to UICCU, you will need to provide the sender the information below.

Information for Sender

  • Our Financial Institution name: University of Illinois Community Credit Union
  • Our Routing/ABA#: 271176899
  • Our address: 2201 South First Street, Champaign, IL 61820
  • Your full name (the name you provide must match our records)
  • Your UICCU account number (the account number you provide must match our records)
  • Your current address (the address you provide must match our records)

The cut-off time for all incoming domestic wire transfers is 4pm CST.

International Wire Transfers

Outgoing International Wire Transfers

To transfer funds from your account at UICCU to another international financial institution, you can send an international wire transfer by coming in to see us in-person or through your online banking by sending us a secure message.

Information Needed for Outgoing International Wire Transfer

  • The receiving bank’s name
  • The receiving bank’s address (no P.O. Box)
  • The receiving bank’s Swift Code/National ID
  • The recipient’s name
  • The recipient’s address (no P.O. Box)
  • The recipient’s IBAN/account number

*Please note: Some banks use a separate routing/ABA number for their wire transfers so please provide us with the receiving bank’s wire transfer instructions to ensure your wire transfer is completed accurately and in a timely manner.

We will provide you with a wire transfer authorization form to sign as well.  Due to fluctuating exchange rate conversion, the cut off time for all outgoing international wire transfers is 2pm CST.

Incoming International Wire Transfers

As a smaller financial institution, we have an intermediary financial institution (Alloya Corporate FCU) that will receive the international wire first before the funds can reach your account here with us.

  • Recipient Name: Your full name (the name you provide must match our records)

*Please note: The international bank sending the wire must have a US correspondent bank that will receive the funds first and complete the wire by following the instructions above.

If the sending financial institution is asking for UICCU’s SWIFT/BIC Code, please have them use our Routing/ABA Number instead. UICCU does not have a SWIFT/BIC Code.

Incoming international wires take much longer to receive due to the number of financial institutions involved.  Please contact us for any questions you may have regarding receiving your funds.

Safe Deposit Boxes

Protect your important or valuable items with the same two-key system and advanced security devices that guard the credit union’s own assets. You’ll enjoy peace of mind knowing legal documents or other important personal items are safe. Members can view contents in a private area during normal business hours.

Safe deposit boxes can be rented at either the UICCU First Street Branch at 2201 South First Street, Champaign, or at the UICCU Five Points Branch at 206 East University Avenue, Urbana.

There is a $25.00 fee for lost keys and a $150.00 drilling of box fee.

National Credit Union Share Insurance Fund (NCUA) Coverage
