About the bands: Back for their third year performing at Allerton, Chicago’s Henhouse Prowlers feature music inspired by the roots of bluegrass while branching out into a sound uniquely their own. From lightning fast picking, to sentimental ballads—playing storied original material, traditional songs, and contemporary covers — The Prowlers’ live show leaves no one wanting.

Fresh off their European tour, the Ben Miller Band will perform at Allerton for the first time. Originally from Joplin, MO, the band features elements of folk, blues, bluegrass, and country in their music. In 2013, they opened for ZZ Top, bringing increased praise and attention from reviewers.
